Terms and conditions

All entry fees are non-refundable, you may transfer your entry to another of our events (with spaces available) up to 7 days before the event. You may transfer your entry to another runner up to 48 hours before the event.

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel an event we will endeavour to re-arrange it for another day, if this date is not suitable we will offer you a transfer to another event.

To register for an event, you must be 18 years of age or older on the event day and you are able to complete a maximum of marathon distance, for distances greater than a marathon you must be 20 years of age or older on the day of the event.

In order to compete in an event, runners agree the following disclaimer and to the terms & conditions:

I declare I will abide by the age limits set for the event and will abide by the laws and rules of UK Athletics. I agree that any participation by me in the Event is solely and entirely at my own risk and (to the extent permitted by law) no person(s) or organisation(s) shall be liable for any accident, harm, injury, loss or damage to property, however so caused, arising out of or in connection with or, suffered during or as a result of, my participation in the Event, provided always that nothing shall exclude liability for death or personal injury caused directly by the negligence of the organiser or its employees.

I consent to medical assistance and/or medical care being given to me in the case of illness, injury or an emergency situation, should this occur during the Event, such assistance to be given by the organiser, its employees, contractors or other trained personnel conducting the Event (which may include the use of anaesthetics).

I acknowledge and agree that: running is an endurance sport and that I should only undertake such an activity to a level which reflects my level of fitness, I am responsible for monitoring my own physical condition prior to and during participation in the Event. I understand the importance, for safety reasons, of obeying the rules, guidelines and instructions given by the Event Organiser’s, marshal’s and other authorised personnel and hereby agree to abide by the same and to behave responsibly at all times during the Event and be mindful of the impact of my actions on others. I also agree that my participation in the Event is for recreational and/or charity fundraising purposes only and I will not participate in the Event for any commercial or business purpose.  The Event organiser will have no liability to the Participant for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or other loss of business opportunity.

You will be issued with your race number on the day of the event, please ensure you complete the details of your emergency contact and any medical conditions on the reverse. The number must be worn and be visible at all times during the race.

You must attend the race briefing prior to the start of the race, if you arrive late you will still be allowed to run once you have been issued your race number and you have had a race briefing. Anyone arriving late will not have a separate start time recorded and results and cut-off times will apply from the actual start.

If you decide to retire from the event during the race you must inform a marshal or contact us using the phone number printed on your race number.

By taking part, all participants confirm that they are happy for their names and any footage or photographs taken during their participation to be used by Running Miles Ltd without cost.

Events are run under UK Athletics rules.

The use of personal MP3 players during an event is at your own risk and you need to ensure that you are aware of other runners around you and be able to hear marshal’s instructions.

Any personal belongings brought to an event are left entirely at your own risk - including in designated baggage areas. You are advised to bring only necessary items.

The information you provide when you make an entry to participate in any of our events will be used to process the application you make to participate in that event, to send you health and safety and other relevant event information for the event that you are participating in, and in the case of medical information, be used to allow medical assistance to be given to you if and when required when competing in the event.

All data will be held securely. We will keep records of your email address, name, gender, DOB and any affiliated club details for the purpose of identifying individuals named on public results. These will be held indefinitely, unless otherwise requested that you wish to have all record of your results deleted permanently. This can be requested by emailing runningmilesuk@gmail.com

We DO NOT share or sell your information with any third parties.  We do not collect or store your bank details, credit or debit card information in any form, when you agree to pay for your items by debit or credit card, you are redirected to a secure payment site.
